Much requested!!  thewisegardener.com's nostalgic "original form!"

I'm Paul,The Wise Gardener, the guy with the non-stop paradaisical thoughts, horticultural passions, and the fiendishly mighty computer keyboard (that just types, and types, and types, and...): I really have loved writing and designing this web magazine solo (I'm a frustrated TV garden show host; HGTV take note...I DO have a face for television!)  The Wise Gardener is truly the work of a free-thinking individual (and its readers are also!!)  You'll know that once you become one of our "regulars" (as many thousands a month already know!)

My horticultural qualifications are numerous : a Rutgers University Agricultural School Graduate; an ISA member arborist; a Florida Nurserymen, Growers' & Landscapers' Association member (FNGLA); a Florida Landscape Maintenace Assn. member (LMA); a California Rare Fruit Council (CRFC) member; AND South Florida's intrepid (often rather sweaty & muddy, but saavy):
"Paul, The Palm Doctor"

In southern Florida, I am a widely recognised Medjool date palm maintenance expert and perform many consultations...and on and on...but my best (and distinctively unique) "qualification" for this literary & entertainment endeavor, is an unmistakably "botanical/green" outlook on life and offbeat and hopefully beguiling sense of humour!  Gardening enthusiasm within NEVER wanes!  (It had better not, now that I'm up to my very heavily "clay soiled" elbows, at the TropicRiverWoods Rainforest Public Botanical Park project, in Changuinola, Bocas del Toro Province, Republic of Panama!)

Quote of the Day
Democracy is the healthful lifeblood which circulates through
the veins and arteries, which supports the system, but which
ought never to appear externally, and as the mere blood itself.

I hope you are enjoying your premier visit to TWG!  It'll be a fun time for all who get to know "us"!  As an environmentalist & lifelong tropical gardener, I live with the philosophy that the best legacy I can leave the world (to mark my existence on this crowded earth,) is to insure that land I tred upon must be faithfully and carefully tended so that it is in far better condition, than when I first began to husband it.

I strongly believe in this "never finished" goal!  I will share my 30 years of gardening xpertise so that you too will be your OWN neighbourhood's "horticultural expert!"  We are here but a short time...and are free to BE!  Planting one flower seed, or one tree, and watching them thrive and prosper makes it so clear to me, what I will do till I die...I will make my world a far greener and healthier place to enjoy!  Give gardening a try, friends; it's truly a blessed avocation, I believe!
